Steamed Green Tea 100g
Smaller leaves than traditional Japanese green tea, therefore lighter in flavour and more elegant according to the Chinese. Steaming tea as it’s picked holds in much of the chlorophyll and amino acids.
A pale yellow liquor gives off aromas of the sea with a grassy but sweet taste.
The Chinese have been drinking green tea for centuries and it is now well known that green tea improves cardiovascular health, reduces the risk of cancer and aids with weight loss. Green tea comes from the same plant as black tea, but is harvested at a younger age. It is consumed "fresh", while black tea is consumed roasted and oxidised. Green tea is thus less processed and retains more of its nutrients and antioxidants than black tea.
